In response to the predawn fire that broke out at Parola, Tondo last November 15, the Quiapo Church coordinated with the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish through its parish priest, Fr. Joseph Granada. One thousand eighty four (1,084) families were rendered homeless.

With the guidance of Fr. Ric Valencia, Quiapo Church Social Service Ministry priest in charge, MBBN delivered 3 big tubs of hot porridge at Barangay Covered Court which served as an evacuation center. Ten packs of used clothes and 400 packs of relief goods which will be distributed by the parish were also given. Caritas also extended its help by releasing 600 relief packs and 300 medicine kits to those affected. (Jacqueline Duma)
