“Intelligent Technologies: Smart Decisions”, this was the theme of the exclusive one-day learning experience conference conducted by Hexagon Geospatial in cooperation with Certeza Infosys Corporation held on November 5, 2014 at Ruby A and Ruby B Function Halls, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Ortigas Center, Quezon City.

The event was part of the World Tour of Hexagon Geospatial, a global leader in design, measurement and visualizations technologies. Hexagon’s geospatial technologies enable communities, industries and governments to make smarter, more informed decisions to harness the global forces of change and better protect our growing world.
The said activity was attended by private sector, academe, non-government organizations, government and church-based organizations. Rev. Marvin Cruz, Glenn Lawas, Rachelle Ann Corpus and Jayson Peñon of Disaster Preparedness and Response Ministry represented Quiapo Church.
Different tools, products and applications that are essential in Geographic Information System, data management and other aspects were showcased. The following topics were tackled: Disaster Management: From Sensor to Actionable Information, Big Data Management and Distribution, Centralized and Integrated Asset Management, Spaceborne Applications, Public Safety Solutions, Mobile Computing and Spatially Enabled Local Government Applications.
The event was capped off by an electronic raffle wherein gadgets and a Toughbook were given away as prizes. The experience brought a bigger picture of what technology does, but it is what the customers do with the technology that makes our world a better place to live.
