May 23, 2017- The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene through its Disaster Preparedness and Response Ministry conducted a seminar on Understanding Terrorism and Crisis Management held at the 6th floor Pope Benedict XVI Building, Quiapo Church. This activity was attended by 150 participants composed of MBBN Heads and Supervisors, Crime Watch and Security personnel from different agencies.

The first talk on Understanding Violent Extremism was given by Col. Llewellyn Binasoy (INF), GSC PA of the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Joint Task Force-NCR. A session on Understanding Terrorism was imparted by a representative of National Intelligence Coordinating Agency. Basic concepts and preventive measures were presented by both speakers.

With the ongoing safety and security concerns being undertaken by Quiapo Church, the said seminar has raised awareness and preparedness.
