On April 13, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) released an "Oratio Imperata" or obligatory prayer for rain due to the dry spell and drought plaguing the country caused by El Niño.
The special prayer for rain was issued to help the country alleviate drought caused by the El Niño phenomenon that has ravaged many parts of our country, particularly Mindanao.
By the power of prayer, God will answer His people. By collectively praying the Oratio Imperata, we believe that God will put an end to something that affects the well-being of man.
