Earth Hour is observed yearly across 24 timezones in 178 countries and territories. This year, the Earth Hour was held on March 19, 8:30-9:30 in the evening. Earth Hour uses the simple action of switching off lights for 60 minutes to deliver a powerful message on the need for decisive climate change solutions.

The Earth Hour 2016 event in the Philippines went dark ‘to shine light on climate action which involves individual pledges and support for the country's shift to sustainable energy. The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo Church) participated and showed its support to Earth Hour.
Quiapo Church will go beyond the hour and continue to #ChangeClimateChange!
