On November 29, hours before the meeting of world leaders in Paris, France for the Conference of Parties (COP21) Climate Summit, different Metro Manila parishes and communities participated in the Metro Manila wide Climate Solidarity Prayer March.

Quiapo Church headed by its Parish Priest, Msgr. Hernando Coronel joined the delegation of the Archdiocese of Manila and walked from Ermita Park and headed towards Raja Sulayman Park in front of Malate Church. Prayer session, program and Eucharistic Celebration were held until 11:00 in the morning. Aside from Metro Manila, 12 other cities and provinces also held their climate marches.
As a response to Pope Francis’ call to action, Catholics are urged to join in the global movement to tell world leaders that “climate change is real, and we care” so actions must be taken immediately. The said gathering led by Catholic communities was a success.
